UPROSTŘED Festival
This summer holiday festival breathes life into a number of places both in and outside the city centre through cultural performances and other events.
- Arts in public spaces, a city centre full of life, street performances and dancing on the pavement—for the entire summer and for free.
- For a wide variety of visitors as well as passers-by, no matter their age or preferences.
- Makes the city more attractive for both locals and tourists.
- Sees more and more visitors, performances, places, and genres every year.
- In 2020, the festival also took place in clubs as well to help them recover from the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Even 2020, a year when not only culture was “beaten down”, saw excellent cooperation among TIC BRNO, Uprostřed, and Podobrazy Cafe inside the Old Town Hall courtyard. The cosy space with an intimate podium complemented by pleasant lighting was a place where visitors met all summer for live performances from many genres.
